Visitation Update 3-18-21

Reopening Plan for Valley View Rehab & Nursing Center

March 2021

Great news!!!  VVRNC is reopening for visitation beginning Thursday, March 18th.  Please note that new admissions need to quarantine for 14 days and will not be able to have an in-person visit until their quarantine has ended.

The visits will follow a similar plan that was in effect in the fall of 2020.  Initially, visits will occur daily except for Sundays and Holidays.  There will be capacity for four visits at a time at 10a, 11a, 1p, 2p and 3pm.  Kiosk pre-screening, PPE use, hand sanitizing and social distancing will be followed.  Please contact the receptionist at 570-433-3161 to schedule a visit or if you have questions.

Compassionate care giving visits and end-of-life visits will continue.  These will be scheduled according to those residents who meet the criteria set forth by the Department of Health.

Please remember that if the facility has one (1) positive COVID-19 case amongst a resident or staff, all visitations will be suspended until outbreak testing can be completed whole house.

The same guidelines will be utilized as was followed in the past:

  • Most importantly, do not come for a visit if you have any symptoms or are ill
  • Please wear a mask upon entering the facility; you will be provided with PPE once here and screened in; must sanitize hands, social distance (6 feet apart)
  • Visit times: two (2) visitors at a time at 10am, 11am, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm Monday through Saturday; please let us know if you are coming in from out of town
  • Visits will occur in the lower lobby; please arrive 5-10 minutes ahead for screening process; do not come if you are ill, instead please contact us to reschedule your visit
  • Children will be considered on a case-by-case basis

Welcome back to all visitors!
